The horizontal colloidal mill is used for grinding, dispersion, and emulsification of solid or liquid particles suspended in a liquid medium, achieving perfect homogenisation, regularity in particle size, and excellent percentage distribution. This mill is designed for inline installation, optimising performance, and reducing operating costs.

It operates by hydraulic shear effect on a thin film of the product being processed. The basic operating elements consist of two conical rotor / stator grindstones with adjustable spacing and constructed from stainless steel or ceramic.

The required fineness for the process is achieved through the mechanical adjustment and separation system of the grindstones. The material type of these grindstones is determined by the product being processed and the application. Depending on the installed wheels, these mills can achieve fineness below 40 µm.
