Lleal obtains the Carbon Footprint Reduction Seal awarded by the MITERD for its activity during 2021 and 2022
Granollers, 7 February 2024. At Lleal we continue to make advances in the fight against 🌍 climate change. That is why we have calculated and registered our carbon footprint at MITERD Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge) for our activity since 2019.
This voluntary register records the efforts made by companies to calculate, reduce and offset greenhouse gas emissions.
🤝 In collaboration with AECA, Lleal has implemented a reduction plan that has enabled it to obtain the Reducing 21 and Reducing 22 certificates, achieving a carbon footprint in 2022 of 150,42 Tco2 eq (scope 1+2).
Our two-year action plan aims to achieve a carbon footprint reduction of up to 45% by 2025. To this end, among other measures already adopted, we are contemplating the progressive replacement of the fleet of vehicles with less polluting ones, as well as replacing the natural gas installation with electrical equipment that can be supplied with self-consumption energy.
